04/21/07 LH2 1-Day Trip - SF Japantown Cherry Blossom Festival
On Saturday, April 21, 2007, Lighthouse 2 organized a 1-day trip to San Francisco mainly for yummy dim sum and Cherry Blossom Festival. Although the organizer was late that morning, the overall trip was pretty much as scheduled. We even squeezed in a little visit to The Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption 2 blocks from Japantown, thanks to David's handy navigator... :) It's a great idea to bring a navigator with you all the time... I could use one on the first day of my job in midtown New York. My company was only 1 corner turn from the subway exit, approximately 2 minutes walk... and it took me 30 minutes to arrived at work. :(
| Anyhow here's a little schedule of what we've done that day: 9:30am - Car pooled from St. Clare church 10:30am - Arrived at Koi palace for dim sum (Thanks to Aunty Rae for her speedy race to Koi Palace and got us a table without the wait... :)) 12:00pm - Headed to Japantown for Cherry Blossom festival 5:00pm - Visited The Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption 6:00pm - Had dinner at Su Hong Eatery, Palo Alto 7:00pm - Drove back to San Jose 7:30pm - Attended Fr. Chang Healing/Praying seminar |

Tai-Er was at a similar seminar last week in Fremont and she testified to us that her chronic skin rash was healed. We are bringing our kids this week. 02/10/07 Purpose Driven Life Sharing Part 1 & Chinese New Year Celebration Party
Dear All,From 2/24(Sat) to 3/31(Sat), every week, we will have Purpose Driven Life sharing.
All information can be found in the Lighthouse2 blog http://lighthouse2-bible-study.blogspot.com/ on the LEFT panel of the website. The title is Purpose Driven Life 40-day Journey.
For those who are interested, here are the steps.
1. Get a Purpose Driven Life book
2. Under the Lighthouse2 blog, there is a Calendar that guide you to read each chapter everyday starting Feb 20(Tues).
3. Each Saturday, we will share all chapters we have read throughout the week including the Saturday reading chapter.
On 2/24, we also have a Chinese New Year celebration. Here is the schedule and information.

There are a few announcements regarding Lighthouse2.
1) Our new and revised mailing list for Lighthouse2 is now lighthouse2-****@****.com
2) We have a revamped Lighthouse2 website http://lighthouse2-bible-study.blogspot.com/.
3) The Lighthouse2 20/20 consensus meeting is on 2/10(Saturday). A detailed email will be sent out later.
4) The period of Lent is arriving. For this period, we have decided to switch our bi-weekly bible sharing meeting to a weekly sharing of the PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE book. It's from 2/24(Sat) to 3/31(Sat). A detailed email will be sent out later. I really encourage everyone to sacrifice their Saturday nights during this Lent period to join together to read and share the PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE. It's especially encouraging because we are sharing the content as a group. It helps us, as an individual, to discover the purpose and journey of our life. With the sharing as a group, it really put our life in perspective, and helps us to realize our purpose in life and in Christ. For those who are determined, please get yourself a PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE book for a new chapter in your life.
